Touch Down

The symbiotic relationship that sometimes covertly exists between man and nature has always been poetic. The preparation for a long night or day ahead by a fisherman contributes to the delicate functioning of the ocean’s ecosystem. Entrapped by the fisherman’s net, its perimeter leaves no escape for the unsuspecting prey; creating a pelican’s buffet. Upon surfeited consumption the pelican can now ‘Touch Down’ and reflect on his over indulgence and achievement. Today, the pelican’s challenge of racing, diving or coordinating with others behind schools of fish that evade within the vast open sea was quite a triumphant victory. Simply poetic.
