This photo captures a tranquil sunrise over the Carenage coastline, where a working jetty rests quietly amidst the calm sea and surrounding natural beauty. In the distance, an offshore supply vessel reflects the balance between industry and nature, as the local community depends on both for their livelihood and well-being. People here understand the importance of preserving what sustains them clean water, thriving marine life, and healthy shorelines. While the scene is serene, it also hints at challenges such as pollution and coastal strain that require thoughtful management. Carenage demonstrates that with sustainable practices like waste management, responsible fishing, and coastal conservation, development and the environment can thrive side by side. The boat at sunrise becomes a symbol of hope and possibility for a safer, more resilient coastal future.

Rocks are essential protectors of a beach.

These rocks are on an everlasting journey via wave action; each piece travelling at great distances from its original rock, carrying with them their rich patterns and even richer history.

These timeless sediments must not only be admired for its resilience, but also for their protective purpose towards the beach it lies on. They collectively give support for the beach and protect inland areas from coastal erosion and flooding, showcasing nature’s version of a seawall.

Evidently, these gorgeous stones are a prime example of a nature-based solution for coastal erosion and flooding. They provide protection of biodiversity, coastal animals and human wellbeing.

This is a photo of my cousin hunting for crabs at the foot of the mangrove, walking through the seaweed. She was using a stick we found to poke around, even though the seaweed smelled very salty. She didn’t mind at all she was just having lots of fun playing in it. When she stepped on the seaweed, it made a crunchy sound, kind of like Captain Crunch cereal, but not as colourful! The sun was warm, and the breeze smelled like the ocean. It was one of those fun days I won’t forget. A real memory made by the sea with friends, family, laughter, and nature all around us.

Beneath a dusky sky where light and shadow intertwine, Through the Lens of Time’s Embrace captures a moment suspended between memory and silence. The sun, veiled by drifting clouds, casts a soft golden hue upon still waters, mirroring the forest’s quiet breath. This scene, tranquil yet charged with unspoken stories, invites reflection on the beauty of nature.

This photo is a original drawing of Negril 7 mile coastal area, promoting as time goes by people get together on the beach of Negril for a fun well spent time with families and friends showing love and togetherness, as it is what makes us who we are today but not preserving the beauty of the coastal areas means it will fade away as time goes by, which means no more togetherness and sharing our traditions with new people.

My drawing is about the beauty of doctors cave. Is a famous public beach known for its clear turquoise waters, white sand, and vibrant marine life. It’s part of the protected Montego Bay Marine Park, making it ideal for snorkeling. The beach is popular for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying various water sports, with amenities like beach bars, restaurants, and rentals for chairs, umbrellas, and snorkeling gear. Overall, Doctor’s Cave Beach offers a well-maintained and family-friendly environment with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Jamaican sea and engage in various activities. Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica, is named for Dr. Alexander James McCatty, who initially owned the beach and used it with his medical colleagues, accessing it through a cave. In 1906, he donated the property to the Montego Bay community, leading to the formation of the Doctor’s Cave Bathing Club. The beach gained fame in the 1920s when a British osteopath, Sir Herbert Barker, wrote about the supposed healing properties of the water, attracting many visitors. The original cave entrance was destroyed by a hurricane in 1932, but the beach remains a popular destination.

The mangroves and the skies are at peace as the beauty of nature silently has you in awe. Bathed in the golden light of a low-hanging sun, this wetland scene captures the quiet resilience of nature. Mangrove roots rise like whispers through still, reflective waters, while soft beams of sunlight pierce through the clouded sky, illuminating the lush, untouched landscape. The photograph evokes both serenity and strength, highlighting the delicate balance of life in coastal ecosystems.

Life at the shore indubitably can be a most pleasurable experience once nature’s fury resists the urge to attack. Of course, the ability to recover from adversity when it does, is a far greater achievement. ‘Rocky Balance’ depicts both beauty and great resilience; its very DNA structure dictates this ability to thrive despite no direct fresh water source or loose soil filled with nutrients. Documented for its uniqueness, this Almond tree can and has survived on this rock for years, astonishing tourists and locals alike. Uncertain of its origins, seed, seedling or juvenile tree, it remains one of nature’s beauties and contributes to our costal pride.

From high in the mountains, the river channels to its final destination ,”the sea”.At this last stage,it passages into the ocean, joining the two bodies of water, whilst allowing a calm, seamless flow. This nexus is not only therapeutic and essential for life, but truly a beauty to behold! The junction is encompassed by lush vegetation on the highlands, which seems to intently monitor the happenings below. Moreover, the vessel on the extreme right,is a reminder of human dependency on this interaction,as it is this relation that maintains the marine cycle, that humans desperately need to survive.
