The Protection of Wetlands

In my image, we can see a wetland and a wetland protection sign. You may be wondering why we need to protect wetlands and you maybe think they are gross. However, wetlands are very important to humans because they clean our waters, prevent flooding, protect the coastline, support wildlife, fight climate change and support livelihoods. Without wetlands, we would have to go through countless struggles. This is why they must be protected. Therefore, after taking this information into consideration, we can clearly see how we depend on wetlands and how they also depend on our help to keep them safe for future generations. It also takes the category, “Through the lens of tomorrow’s eyes” into consideration because if our wetlands are not protected, our future generations may face plenty of struggles.
