Coral Reef Experiments
Coral reefs are critical to protecting the coastline from flooding and erosion associated with hurricanes and storm surges. Under controlled conditions, we can investigate the effects of different reef characteristics under climate change scenarios.
Mangrove Experiments
The protection afforded by mangroves provides several benefits for biodiversity, economy, livelihoods and community resilience. We are currently investigating the wave attenuation and erosion mitigation potential of red mangroves (Rhizophora mangle) against changing climate scenarios.
