Time — she’s seen waves laced with foam,
Shielding sun-kissed sand nestled snugly beneath.
Shells scatter across the shore, holding memories and exuding beauty,
And birds soar on sea breeze,
Seeking shimmering fishes in the sea.

She’s seen generations build castles and memories in the sand,
Fishermen support families,
And tourists marvel at our natural treasure.

She’s seen the seas assist in healing-
Its minerals cleansing,
Aiding circulation and natural exfoliation,
Rejuvenating and calming minds
Once stressed and burdened.

But she’s also seen the sea’s resilience.
Despite battling litter, oil spills, sand mining, tree felling, and overfishing,
God’s creation repopulates, providing food for those who tread upon it,
Grows trees, protecting homes from flooding,
And lures visitors with its breathtaking beauty.

We must protect what helps protect us,
And end the cycle of destruction then urgent preservation,
So time can finally embrace
A Caribbean where coasts of beauty and serenity connect communities.
